As a nonprofit community-based organization, it is vital to the Drama Studio's mission to extend our impact into situations where youth may not have access to positive coming-of-age-experiences. It is our goal to give an uplifiting adolescent experience to as many students as possible, whether they are enrolled in our conservatory or not.
Our Outreach programs are geared toward opening the minds of young people in our greater community so that they realize that they too can be powerful, well-spoken individuals just like their DS peers.
For most of the Studio’s history, we have collaborated on small outreach projects with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra as well as offering teacher-in-service workshops for Springfield teachers and field trip opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school students. Now, the Studio is expanding our outreach programming to include touring, residencies, family-friendly large-scale theatre experiences and more.
