Tom Jones
Spring Mainstage
Tom Jones, based on the hugely popular 1749 novel by Henry Fielding, tells the story of teenaged Tom from infancy through his marriage to the beautiful and virtuous Sophia Western, the pursuit of whom takes up much of the tale. Along the way, Fielding satirizes the hypocrisy and vanity of most of the supporting cast. He shows that the lusty rascal Tom is, in fact, an infinitely better person than the pretenders who surround and scheme against him. Tom overcomes not only all external plots and obstacles but, most importantly, his own weaknesses of character, to win both love and fortune. A great comic romp of a literary classic with a cast of 24 memorable characters!

6 Women who can play ages 17-25

Juan Bobo and the Pig
A production of the DS Touring Program
The foolish Juan Bobo is a beloved character in Puerto Rican folklore. In this story, Juan tries to do as his mother asks and take good care of the pig while mama goes to church, but poor Juan isn't very good at following instructions. Juan makes one hilarious mistake after another, ending with a pig in a Sunday dress! This is a fun and charming tale that teaches the importance of listening and taking responsibility.

Me: So the girl's dressing room is flooded - I spent and hour with the shopvac . . . but Greta's costume room is mostly dry! Dan: Dry? Wow! How is that possible? Me: Maybe God is smiling upon us. Dan: If this is a smile, I have a few choice words . . .
