The Studio offers an exciting curriculum to introduce students to the acting process. Each course offers work in improvisation, movement, scene and monologue work, and ensemble building.
Intermediate Classes Intermediate classes are for students who have completed the Drama Studio's Introductory classes and would like to begin taking courses which shed more light on specific acting styles and techniques. These are classes in improv, ensemble work, scene study, comedy, movement, developing theatre, writing, and more!
Advanced Classes are for teen students who are prepared to study at a college level while in high school and have completed the Studio’s introductory and intermediate classes. Courses introduce students to plays by such great classical dramatists as Shakespeare, the Greeks, Checkhov, O’Neill, and Pinter as well as the work of contemporary writers and directors. Advanced courses also challenge students to collaborate with awareness and agility in ensembles. The Studio offers a wide range of classes that supplement its basic core curriculum, such as musical theatre, dance, stage combat, and Viewpoints/Suzuki workshops. Many special interest courses are offered with discounts if taken as a second class. These classes are also smaller than regular conservatory classes in order to give actors more one-on-one attention and encourage them to really explore their special interests. JOIN SPECIAL INTEREST CLASSES! At present, the Studio offers Playwriting for adults and an Introduction to Acting Workshop for Adults is offered from time-to-time. Adults are encouraged to audition for productions as the Studio casts age-appropriate actors for roles.
